Nestled into the cliff, next to a natural spring you will discover our outdoor therapeutic wooden sauna with mosaic slate flooring. With only the sound of the waves, you will enjoy a panorama of our beach Polhawn Cove, the stunning Cornish Coastline, dreamy sunsets, wild birds and occasionally dolphins! An extraordinary space for relaxation and socialising, all year round.
Designed to complement the Fort’s stunning coastal setting, it provides the perfect way to warm up after a chilly sea swim, inviting you to recharge both body and mind. The sauna’s proximity to the beach enables you to experience the benefits of cold to hot therapy, which boosts energy, aids recovery, and supports immune health. A truly immersive wellness experience. The sauna combines the healing power of nature with its numerous health benefits.
And if you are looking for something extra special for your stay we can arrange a Special Sauna Ritual experience for you and your group. Through carefully designed and intuitively held rounds of heat, steam, and cold-water immersion, you will be taken on a journey by expert Sauna Masters to release the stresses and tensions of everyday life and deeply relax and release in the sauna.

We will guide you into deep relaxation with one of five our wellbeing sauna rituals. Your time in the sauna will leave you feeling refreshed and healthy in mind body and spirit

We are delighted to be able to offer couples and groups a richer deeper sauna experience in the wonderful cliff side sauna at Polhawn. Borrowing from different sauna cultures around the world we will introduce plants, scrubs, intention settings, breathing techniques, ceremony and ritual to guests, giving them the experience of deep relaxation, pleasure, joy and release before or after their weddings or as a lovely experience whilst on holiday.

Ritual for entering the sauna a space traditionally cared for by women.
Salt scrubs and other locally sourced herbal and plant products to be tried and used in the sauna to invigorate detoxify and relax the body and the mind.
Rounds of heat, steam and cold water immersion. Whisks can be used to move the steam in the sauna and to massage the body. The groom will receive a fully body whisk massage to release relax and set him up for his wedding ceremony.
Wishes and stories shared with the groom to support him in married life.
Nourishing sweet treat and tea to close the sauna ritual.
