The interior of the Fort mirrors the purpose for which it was originally built. Massive thick walls and dramatic high vaulted ceilings will lend your wedding a profound sense of time and place.
You approach the Fort by crossing the drawbridge, entering a turret, and descending the granite spiral staircase. Whereupon you will find yourself gasping at the huge and atmospheric room that proudly presents itself.
The Grand Napoleonic Hall can be organised in a thousand different romantic ways: you can get married here, have your wedding banquet for as little as five or as many as 120 guests, and continue with a party in the evening.
Arranging and re-arranging the room is extremely easy, and can be left to our hugely experienced staff for you to employ directly, just as you wish (including cleaning early the next morning).
Should you require a smaller room for quieter moments, or for more intimate weddings, or indeed for a place to have a drinks bar for bigger weddings – the Emperor's Room, opening directly off the Grand Napoleonic Hall, provides a flexible alternative.
